Gorakh Hill station is located at a height of around 5688 feet above sea level in the Kirthar Mountains, 94 kilometers away from Dadu city, in a northwestern direction from Karachi. Gorakh Hill Station is spread over an area of around 2500 acres, on one of the highest plateaus in Sindh. The Gorakh Hill was discovered by the British, who wanted to make it an army base and a tourist resort. Fatima Jinnah, G M Syed, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto and others have all visited Gorakh in the past. The weather at Gorakh Hill Station in the summer season is generally below 20 °C, while in winter the temperature touches 0 °C. Gorakh Hill Station receives snowfall in winter and is the only place in the province of Sindh to experience snow. It is very attractive to nature lovers owing to its temperate weather and beautiful surroundings
